I may just be a little bit sensitive on the subject, but it seems to me that I have been seeing more men with breasts lately...
I guess I should categorize that statement.
There are men that I see that are obviously going to the gym or maybe they are professional boxers. And what I see as "breasts" pushing against their shirts are actually well-muscled pectoral areas. Well developed pecs can give the illusion of feminine breasts (if you ignore the muscular arms and abs and thighs, etc.). For you guys with developing breasts who have people asking if you have been working out - this is probably where that confusion comes from.
Then, there are, of course, those men I observe who are fat to obese. They may have pendulous breasts, but they are not the real kind. They are just fat cells without the supportive tissues and ducts - that you and I have in our new breasts. These guys I quickly dismiss as not having breasts.
And finally, I come to that group of mystery breast men, that I have been seeing around. These are men who have pronounced bosoms, but they are neither overweight nor obvious candidates for the next Olympics. This is a smaller number of the total around me, but they are out there. And I cannot help, but wonder if they are like me - men who have purposely enlarged their breasts with supplements and so on. Or are they just unknowingly growing breasts through male gynaecomastia?
I have been too shy to ask. I mean, how do you go up to a stranger and say nice breasts you have there. With a woman, you might get away with it without a harassment suit, but with a man...?
So am I just crazy or are there many more femans (men enlarging their breasts) amongst us. Are our numbers growing? What have you noticed?
Male Breast Enlargement - A Reality
This blog is dedicated to the men who are exploring new areas of gender - male breast enlargement. I am a married, heterosexual man who is undergoing this process. I wecome you to review my experiences and add comments of your own...

You might say "June is busting out all over" ... but tomorrow it will by July 1. About my breasts, they are small, round and firm ... and unfortunately, they still look like well developed 'pects'. The difference is that when I run, they jiggle and bounce a little, as they are NOT muscles. This morning on my run it was almost 70 degrees and very sunny, so it was just running shorts and a white T shirt. Needless to say, my new 'pects' were out there for all to see through my shirt. I got a few 'looks', but no comments or whistles (ha ha). I don't know if I can continue to run like this the whole summer. Any further growth and I'll have to start wearing a dark color baggy shirt and a sports bra.
I don't know if their are more men growing breasts or if I am just paying more attention, but here in Texas its appears that things are a busting out all over.
oh, i definitely think so. Love the site. Thank you so much!
I can't say that I've seen this, but there are so many obese people of both genders that it is hard to tell sometimes what is going on.
I'll believe "femen" are accepted when I see gender-neutral bras for sale or sports-bras for men - "enjoy your toys while enjoying your game" or something like that should be the ad line.
What is amazing is the type of stuff that is considered normal these days, but guys with boobs is still not.
Just because something is "happening" doesn't mean it's being "accepted" or "considered normal"! I do seem to be noticing this more on others.
You're seeing stuff like this one example, which I can't imagine seeing 5 years ago, no way: "Man Boobs! are so in!" http://cityrag.blogs.com/main/2007/06/steven_tylers_m.html
Personally, I'm not really doing anything special. I've never been flat-chested, and I just seem to kind of be filling out. It just sort of seems okay. I look around, and others seem to be experiencing something similar. As another poster said, maybe I'm just noticing more because of my own perspective, but even accounting for that, it does seem like there is something in the air. No doubt, transgender issues are becoming more prevalent. Drudge Report picks up TG-related stories every week or two.
I think it has something to do with Hillary Clinton(half-kidding) making a run for serious power, plus all the other insane 21st century forces at work. Men are feeling they can be more feminine. And why not? Women have been acting as masculine as they want in dress, behavior, and action for decades. Just popped out of the house in LA for a few minutes, saw almost as many fem guys(not even counting the gay guys) as old-fashioned "traditional role guys". Seems to have reached a tipping point.
If women can wear 'butch' haircuts and wear pants, why can't we men develop breasts and wear bras?!? We should demand equal time! Soon, when I start wearing a bra ... out of necessity when running/jogging ... if someone challenges me or questions why I am wearing a bra, I'll just tell them I have the right to enjoy my feminine side the same as a female has a right to be a 'tomboy'. ... Won't help me get elected to public office or get ahead at the office, though ...
YES1 I am see more. male with
larger breasts.
But. That may because. I am looking out More for men with large breast.
this is from the west coast.
Well it appears there are more men with actual breasts in the West and in Texas, but what about the North and the East Coast?
Who's to know?!? Most men with breasts didn't knowingly do anything to develop them ... it just happens naturally as men age. Testosterone levels slowly fall and estrogen levels come up. Drinking a lot of beer is also a contributing factor. For most men it is a touchy (not 'warm feely') subject and most do all they can to hide their breasts, as it is an embarrassment to them. Even those of us who really want breasts are shy and will not openly flaunt them ... right?
You are certainly right, I don't flaunt my breasts, certainly dressed as a man...
Now that it is hot, I am tempted to go to the beach without a shirt on, but I keep thinking I will get arrested for breaking the breast nudity laws.
I hope we continue to grow into a more tolerant society where men can be comfortable with having their breasts be noticeable. I am a private person, but sometimes, I do want to share my whole being.
If most guys got to experience what it was like having a set of boobs for even a few days to a week, they'd probably be more open-minded about it. Fear of the unknown and anyone who is different; amazing the often destructive things that one can do and have few people complain, but show any curiousity in one's feminine side if you're a man and suddenly you're treated like some sort of mutant.
You are absolutely right about men that should experience having their own breasts! I know ,because I now have breasts of my very own and I love them ! I was told that I could end up with DD's ! That is really making me happy. I now have measurements of 43-29-40 . I am very proud of my breasts ,and I wish I would have done it many years ago ! Right now ,my plans are to totally transform into the person I am on the inside --A WOMAN !
It definitely feels good having these bouncing around. And I think they look good under my shirt, giving a bit more curve to my look. If someone notices a bit of my feminine side, that's fine.
There is a continuum from masculine to feminine on a range of issues: face, body, clothing, attitude, grooming, etc. Women have much more freedom to explore this range. Men, however, have to stay in their corner.
Some women are totally flat-chested. There is a range. Same with men. Some women are more masculine. In fact if women crossdress, it's just "androgynous" fashion. Some men are more masculine, and have these characteristics, some men are more feminine, and that's okay too. It all sounds basic, but this is the area where the confusion is.
I don't think we're really that weird. I think the problem is the extremely sexist world that tries to force everybody into a box. Men have it way worse than women in some ways. Women have a lot of freedom of expression.
My wife also has sort of a lesbian tendency (but don't all women?) so this is working into a better place, rather than causing a crisis.
Recently I went about three months not cutting my hair and I caught a lot of flack over that. My wife objected to me wearing long hair in a ponytail and my kids told me I was looking like a hobo. This does not augur well for me developing breasts ... although no complaints so far, because they still look like very well developed 'pects', except they are soft and jiggle when I walk of run. I wonder how much flack I'll get if/when they get to C cup size and begin looking like real breasts and not just big 'pects'. The way they are growing, I'll find out by the end of this year. ...
who cares what other people think. Why should women be the only ones in the world that can grow long hair. Please. Your wife is being a "sexist enforcer", your kids just don't know what they're talking about.
"I don't think we're really that weird. I think the problem is the extremely sexist world that tries to force everybody into a box. Men have it way worse than women in some ways. Women have a lot of freedom of expression."
Yep - if, as a guy, you have any thoughts deeper than: sports, beer, bodily noises, and sex, there is clearly something wrong with you. Sad...
Talk about 'womens lib'!?! It may be OK for a girl to be a tomboy, but let us males show any 'femaleness' and we get ridiculed ... or worse! It's time for 'mens liberation'! In the workplace I was accused of being sentimental, too soft and feminine ... showing too much empathy. It cost me advancement ... I was never promoted. The workplace is a 'macho world' dominated by bully alpha males. The rest of us are relegated to the lowest paying, dullest jobs.
Maybe it is time for us to socially "Bare Our Chests!"
Men, too, are restricted by society through gender stereotypes and conditioning. And yet there is a whole spectrum of gender colors on both the male and female side.
Tolerance, acceptance and then appreciation for our differences will truly free this society and this planet.
"The workplace is a 'macho world' dominated by bully alpha males. The rest of us are relegated to the lowest paying, dullest jobs."
That is a very good point: sociopathic behavior - basically, "alpha male" behavior on steriods - is what is rewarded these days. And they wonder why employees have no loyality to their companies! Duh!
"Girls are made of sugar and spice and everything nice ... boys are made of snips and snails and puppy dog tails". Girls play nice, boys play rough. It starts during earliest childhood ... and only gets worse, especially when testosterone kick in at puberty. That's when it really gets ugly! I prefer the company of females ... I wish I were one of them!
