Female Traits - Removing Hair From Armpits

While some of the men with breasts reading this blog will never appear as a "woman" in public, many of you will. And one of the things that women do as part of their public (and private roles, too) is to remove their armpit hair. It is a sexy standard of women to have no hair on their arms, legs and under their arms...

It is during the puberty stage, that people start growing armpit hairs. This hair growth varies from person to person. Some individuals grow hair in a concentrated patch that is coarse and curly. Others will grow hair that is fine and shows a wider spread pattern. And so on. Some women and men have underarm hair so fine that they really do not have to remove it.

So why do we grow hair in the armpit in the first place? There two main theories. One is that it help pheromones to collect in high enough concentrations to be effective. Pheromones are chemicals that discreetly transmit the message to other humans of your sexual readiness or prowess. They also help to identify your gender to others - Check out Love-scent, for more about pheromones.

The second school of thought is that armpit hair lessens the friction between your upper arm and body when doing physical activities like digging ditches and chopping down trees. Neither is a task I do very often anymore... so my armpit hair can go!

By the way, for those of you have already shaved your armpits the popular belief that armpit hair will grow back thicker after it has been removed is not true. You certainly maybe more sensitive to the regrowth under your arms. And experience irritation and ingrown hairs that can make armpits seem more inflamed.

How to remove armpit hairs: Historians have found evidence that cavemen used two clam shells as tweezers. But we don't have to go the seashore for our tools.

The most common way to remove armpit hair is by shaving. One can either use electric or wet razors. I would use the same methods as you do to shave your beard.

Another solution is waxing. Ouch!

Another alternative is to get laser armpit hair removal treatments. The cost for the visits can be expensive. On average, using the Palomar Starlux Laser, for example, most people need 5 to 6 treatments, approximately every 6 to 8 weeks. Of course, everyone is different and because of disease, medication and hormones, some people may need more treatments. There are potential risks and side effects that can occur and should be investigated, but permanent armpit hair removal is the result.

Note that advancements in laser technology means that those with darker skin can now take advantage of this type of procedure.

Hair removal creams are another way to get rid of armpit hair. A good cream should work quickly, removing the hair with a simple application. Hair Removal Cream Revitol is an effective hair remover. You do need to reapply it periodically, but this cream is fast and for most people very effective.

Another possibility is to choose a product that, through use, eliminates armpit hair growth completely. For a permanent solution for unwanted hair, clinical studies have conclusively proven that Ultra Hair Away™ is effective in slowing down, and inhibiting hair growth. The results were also conclusive for gentleness to skin. The test showed Ultra Hair Away™ to be fast, effective and safe for all areas of the face and body.

Using Ultra Hair Away™ according to directions causes hair to become thinner and finer over weeks of application, until hair growth is inhibited completely!

Of course, not every woman shaves her armpits, so it certainly is not a requirement for men who are going feminine to do so either. But with so many possible physical remnants of masculinity to tend to, that along with your breasts, smooth/hairless armpits may be necessary to display your feminine side in public.

Another possibility for removal is the TRIA handheld laser device. http://www.triabeauty.com/

I've been following it ever since I heard about it earlier this year, when it was only available in the UK. It seems people are giving it good reviews.

Have you used Ultra-Away yourself? I'm finding bad things about it here: http://www.hairfacts.com/makers/topical/ultrahairaway.html

Hair removal is one of those subjects that's saturated with scams.

Thanks for the tip about the hand held laser which appears to be for home use. It is is pricey in my mind at around $1000, but no doubt cheaper than going in for laser treatments and electralosis.

Regards Ultra-away, That warning page is many years old, yet the product is still around. I found the product useful, but I have been blessed with very fine hair - a hairless chest to begin with. (A lot of teasing during my younger days...) so my results maybe atypical. I hope others will let us know their experiences.

By the way, there is a do-it-yourself formula you can learn about through the e-book: Super Hair Growth Inhibitor Lotion Recipe.

Please let us know about any and all hair removal results.

Been removing all hair from the neck down for a couple of years with the razor (be real carefull in certain areas) while searching for different permanent solutions. I tried the ultra away with very little results. Now I will check out the recipe you showed and see how it works.
